Let’s get the important think over first. I called the New York Department of Health about getting recertified for Medicaid and getting on emergency Medicaid for the month of March. Turns out that it will be taken care of tomorrow when I go to my insurance company Health First and get back on their plan. As I qualify this shouldn’t be a problem. I just can’t get sick or in an accident before tomorrow. Don’t touch my face. Unless you’re a cute woman, then touch my face all you want. I have my priorities.
I’m in the final stage of grieving for Elizabeth Warren’s candidacy, acceptance. I’m still going to vote for her in the primary, as it won’t change anything I might as well vote for the candidate that I like far more than the others. Even if it made a difference I wouldn’t know who to vote for, Biden or Bernie; I have issues with both that are difficult to weigh so I’d let others decide. But whatever issues I have are to be forgotten. I will not say a bad word about Biden until he’s president. I am not going to feed people’s doubts and lower their enthusiasm to turn out. Expressing my feelings is not as important as the well-being of the country. Just once I’d like to have a Democratic president with a Democratic congress long enough to make change. I’d be unhappy to simply undo the damage that first Reagan and now Trump did to the government. Get the tax rates up high enough to support needed spending on social programs and investing in the future, appoint liberal judges, protect the environment, defend the rights of those disadvantaged by race, sex, sexual preference, religion, and income, follow policies backed by science and facts, decrease the number of people without health insurance instead of adding to it, and preserve the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity.
We have not had any extended period where that agenda was followed to make up for the 12 years of Reagan Bush. The Republicans successfully sabotaged he presidencies of Clinton and Obama. They never got to express their vision for the country, but even their partial visions improved it. The wisest part of the Constitution is the phrase, “more perfect union;” They weren’t seeking perfection which is impossible but improvement which is. Is Biden perfect? No, Is he an improvement? Vastly. This wasn’t what I planned on writing today but it is what came out.

Hey – maybe Warren will coach Biden on how to debate!
