Concert Streaming Crohn's disease music poutine

The Crohn Ranger

Sorry for not posting; I’m not dead but I am sick. It’s my Crohn’s disease. I’ve eaten nothing since breakfast yesterday. I managed to watch some streaming concerts yesterday, The Ladlesmy latest musical discovery, and then Christine Lavin who I’ve known for over 30 years. I just realized I’ve known her for almost exactly half my life. I still think of myself as a newbie fan. After Chris’s show there was a Zoom afterparty featuring Andrew Ratshin aka the Electric Bonsai Band, Alice Howe & Freebo, and one artist I was unfamiliar with and of course can’t remember now. I’ll blame being sick. It started at midnight. I thought there was no way I’d be able to stay up for that. Being sick makes me sleepy. Somehow not only did I do that, but I participated and was able to act like I had energy. Adrenaline does wonders.

Today I slept, then I slept, then I slept some more. When I finish writing this I’ll sleep. There seems to be some movement in my intestines, so I suspect I’ll be fine tomorrow. By pure chance I’m seeing my gastroenterologist on Tuesday. I ate poutine the night before last and I’m afraid that triggered the attack. I talked to my doctor about it and she said it shouldn’t. But my last three bouts have come after eating poutine. I’m hoping that it’s something in the gravy I use as this never happens when I eat poutine out. I guess it could be the curds I’m using but I can’t see how they vary that much.

That’s it. I’m out of gas. I better be feeling better next time I write.
