All Gaul is divided into three parts but this entry is divided into two, a doctor visit and seeing Mya. That opening would work better if I were at the doctor for my gall bladder, but I’m no longer in possession of one. I have Crohn’s disease. I had cancer of the small intestine. I […]

Alan LX
Living in the Bronx means taking a trek most days. Yesterday’s was an extra long one to Greenvale Long Island. What would bring me out to that suburban backwater? Alan’s surprise 60th birthday party. I had tickets to see Vienna Teng and Jean Rohe was doing a co-bill with Rachael Kilgore but they’ll all play […]
All Hail Slambovia
Yesterday I went to the Grand Slambovian Halloween Ball. It was at Irvington Town Hall and produced by The Common Ground Community Concerts, Carter’s domain. That meant I was working the show. I usually do merch but The Slambovians provide their own merch person so my job was to help set up the Halloween decorations and do whatever else needs to be done.

I spent yesterday first as an IT savior and then seeing Emerald Rae and Jess Clinton. That was followed by a re-enactment of the Odyssey on the New York City subway.

Return to City Island
I was not inspired yesterday so I didn’t write. Of course later in the day when I was out I got inspired. Even more of course I don’t remember half of what I wanted to write. I do remember what I did so I’ll write about that. I decided to go back to Jane and […]
Last night was the second half of my River Towns weekend. On Friday I saw Joe Crookston and Anthony da Costa in Tarrytown. Last night I saw The Kennedys and Eric Lee in Hastings-on-Hudson.
On Friday I went to an ultimate home game, No Fuss and Feathers Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3. A band made up of four good friends, at the venue where I am often greeted by name, and an audience filled with friends.
I don’t have that much time so I’m going to blast away and write about yesterday without much thought and see how that works out. If it’s short it’s short. I have therapy on Fridays at 2:45; I usually schedule my psychiatrist appointments immediately afterward but that means I’m often rushed going to whatever my […]
