The Mets were playing the Phillies. It was a matchup of the two best pitchers in baseball, Jacob deGrom and whoever is facing deGrom. Jacob leads the major leagues with a 1.68 ERA, but his record is only 5–4

July Blips
I went to John Platt’s On Your Radar. This month’s artists were The Brother Brothers, The Wiggins, Sisters, and Joshua Garcia.
Today I finish the Saga of the New Bedford Folk Festival; the literary heir of Moby Dick. I pick up the epic tale on Sunday morning.
I left you with my arrival at the New Bedford Festival. I have a schedule here, so I will at least remember the music. What I’m afraid I’m going to forget is some of my meetings with friends. That’s is half the fun of festivals.

Since I last blogged I’ve been to two concerts, therapy, and had adventures in phones and air conditioning. My life isn’t all that exciting but calling things adventures helps.
Kataklysm
I did make it out of the house, just in time, to see Kat Quinn at the Sidewalk café. I made it there in just an hour, that was exciting. Dan saved me a seat. This was Kat’s farewell show, she’s moving to LA. My usual joke is to say that it’s because she hates me, but as you’ll discover, that just won’t work today.
Weird day. I couldn’t get myself to write earlier. I got anxious just thinking of getting off my chair and making breakfast. After I showered I went to check out the local Foodtown to see if it can be my prime supermarket. That would be great as it’s just a nine-minute walk away. A decent […]
Yesterday I went to the Caramoor American Roots Festival. I always go but this year considered not going because I didn’t want to be out in the sun with my skin still recovering from last week’s burn. I didn’t want to go if it rained. I lucked out, the weather was just what I needed overcast.
