On my third post about Falcon Ridge I finally get to the official start of the Festival. After various mishaps FRFF was running on all cylinders Friday. What I mean by that is that I started my day with bacon and eggs and the Dharma Café; I have simple needs.

The FRFF website says that the festival started on Friday. That’s only if you accept a narrow definition of what the festival is. Thursday should certainly be included as that’s when we have the Lounge Stage. Six solid hours of music. But even that does not encompass the entire festival as many of us arrive on Wednesday. There’s nothing happening at the stages, but the community takes shape. There is always music. That’s where I’ll begin
Here’s my problem, I have to write about Falcon Ridge but I’m also living my life and doing things worth writing about. I am going to try and write two entries a day. That’s rough as I’m still sleep deprived. On that note I’ll write about last night as that will require the least energy. […]
Welcome to the first Falcon Ridge 2018 edition of Wise Madness. It’s been a week since I’ve written and have lots to say. The trouble is I’m tired; I was seriously sleep-deprived and haven’t caught up yet. It was a tough festival on my body. I’ll start with my Festival overview; you won’t hear about […]
Since you last heard from me I’ve been to two concerts, Alec Spiegelman and Karyn Oliver. On Friday I had therapy
Shawna Nuff
This has been a Shawna Caspi weekend. I saw her Friday at the American Folk Art Museum and Saturday at the Old Franklin Schoolhouse in Metuchen.
Yesterday was my birthday. For the first time in five years, I celebrated it my favorite way of celebrating, going out with one friend that I love to do something I love. Gen and I went to see Tomoko’s Post Bop Gypsies.
For my birthday Carey not, Carey asked what Broadway show I wanted to see. Without hesitation I said, Come From Away He was able to get tickets for the day before my birthday. I’m disappointed that tickets were available. It should be sold-out for months in advance.
Now I get to tell you about yesterday’s Coney Island adventure. Sometimes things work out like that. Weeks ago, Seth asked who wanted to go to a Cyclones game with him. I jumped in and said yes
I left you with my arrival at the New Bedford Festival. I have a schedule here, so I will at least remember the music. What I’m afraid I’m going to forget is some of my meetings with friends. That’s is half the fun of festivals.
